In2Pickle - Moving towards the pickleball - Pickleball Point Breakdown
As you play pickleball, it is important to keep ball location in mind. If the ball is played to your left, then your pickleball movement should have a leftward bend to it. In this video, we break down a pickleball point in a recent U.S. Open tuneup match you will see how my movement forward followed the wrong angle opening a hole in our defense and allowing our opponents to win the point.
This is a series where we will be breaking down basic pickleball points (not fancy shots like the Erne or ATP). Our objective is to use the point as a visual aid to illustrate optimal and sub-optimal shots, court movement, and pickleball strategies. This sort of visual aid can help you identify the good (and the bad) in your own game.
If you have a point that you think merits being part of the breakdown, please send it to me at Tony@In2Pickle.com.
Thanks to Tom, Tyson, and Scott for the games and for providing the footage we use here.
