In this video, Scott and Daniel talk about one of the toughest shots: being able to hit an effective 3rd shot drop when your opponent returned your serve with a lot of backspin. Often times these backspin returns just skim low to the ground, so you have to really get under the ball and lift up in order to drop it in the kitchen. If you attempt to hit this shot normal without getting under it, your ball will often times go into the net because the spin off your paddle will cause the ball to dive down.
