Today we played against two guys like the pair in the pic. One of them is a top 20 pro, he is known in the community and his buddy is possibly a 6.0+ player. They wanted a practice match and invited us to play. They asked how should we split up and I told them we want to play against them. It was clear from the beginning that they didn’t play to win. We battled them for about 30 min and walked away learning a lot about how to change our game going forward. They mostly dinked and resetted the ball. We didn’t get a single ball to attack. Dink rallies were like 10+ often. Our speed-ups were met with resets/winners from them. Most in our play circle don’t play anything closer to them. Everyone wants to bang-bang and end the point. People are often after the ‘HERO’ shot. I have had many cool experiences with Pickleball and this was one rank among the top.
