This channel is dedicated to all the gold seeking Pickleballers out there who dink responsibly and stay out of the kitchen. We have all levels come through the channel, but we concentrate on the 4.0, 4.5 and up to 5.5 with the pros.
I started this channel quite by accident, I was recording my games to do film study and get better. I did not have time or money for lessons from pro pickleball coach, so I started watching all my screwups. People that I was playing with started to ask if they could watch too and I said sure. That helped all of us a lot to improve our game, strategy, mental toughness, and techniques. Now we have new pickleball videos published several times a week. We occasionally have pro pickleball players on the channel. Mostly its non pro pickleball players on their quest to 5.0 pickleball. We have all levels come through the channel, but we concentrate on the 4.0 pickleball, 4.5 pickleball and up to 5.5 pickleball with the pros.

3 BEST pickleball paddles - Beginner/Budget Paddle | Intermediate | Advanced (the one we use)

If you are looking for a pickleball paddle, my friend and partner, Tony Roig from In2Pickle and WeArePickleball, guest start this week and shares three of his favorite paddles.

Our Beginner/Budget Paddle is the Pro Lite Bolt. It is an awesome paddle. Retails for about $40. You can get your Pro Lite Bolt at at prolitesports.com or calling 888-775-9615. Pro Lite is the original modern pickleball paddle company. This one of the best values in paddles on the market.

One of the best all-around paddles available is the Paddeltek Bantam EX-L. It was the paddle used by Kyle Yates and Irina Tereschenko. Note: This is the regular Bantam EX-L (Not the Pro). It retails for about $100. You can get the Bantam EX-L here: https://fromuthpickleball.com/?rfsn=6351636.1240ba
Use code 10weare for 10% off your purchase at our friend's Fromuth Pickleball.

The paddle that Tony, Jill, and I all use is the Diadem Icon. To be frank, Tony was surprised at how well this paddle played when we first got it. Diadem is new to pickleball, but the Icon paddle is amazing. You can read our full review of the paddle here. https://wearepickleball.com/di....adem-icon-pickleball
If you are ready to take the Icon paddle onto the court to do battle, you can get one at DiademPickleball.com. Use the code VIPickleball to get 10% off your purchase.

Unless you absolutely have to serve with a backhand (injury or a serious case of the yips), try to serve with your forehand. It is more consistent, powerful (for depth), and is easier to ensure remains legal.

Watch any pickleball game and you will see this strategy error committed over and over. The return team hits the ball to the wrong place, allowing the serve team to attack them and win the point. If you are clear on your pickleball objectives, you can then play your best pickleball.

In this pickleball video, we do a rally breakdown to show you the error – so you can recognize the error when you are on the court – and also show you the right strategy to us – so you can avoid the error in the future.

If you are not familiar with the serve side – return side distinction, you will not be able to play to your full potential, not because you are not trying hard each time you playing. It is because you simply do not have enough knowledge about the game. We can teach you what you do not know – it is what we do. Our 3-Part Miniseries covers this important distinction and also gives you the four most important shots in pickleball as well as the reason why you sometimes pop the ball up. You can find out more about joining us for the Miniseries by visiting us at WeArePickleball.com.

You will have the option of signing up for our mailing list – this way, you will be notified when the Miniseries is ready. Get the Three Pillars of Pickleball here: https://wearepickleball.com/pillars/

Pickleball errors
Pickleball return of serve

In2Pickle

As you play pickleball, it is important to keep ball location in mind. If the ball is played to your left, then your pickleball movement should have a leftward bend to it. In this video, we break down a pickleball point in a recent U.S. Open tuneup match you will see how my movement forward followed the wrong angle opening a hole in our defense and allowing our opponents to win the point.

This is a series where we will be breaking down basic pickleball points (not fancy shots like the Erne or ATP). Our objective is to use the point as a visual aid to illustrate optimal and sub-optimal shots, court movement, and pickleball strategies. This sort of visual aid can help you identify the good (and the bad) in your own game.

If you have a point that you think merits being part of the breakdown, please send it to me at Tony@In2Pickle.com.

Thanks to Tom, Tyson, and Scott for the games and for providing the footage we use here.

The toss is the very first thing you do to start the point. If your toss isn't in sync with the rest of your serve, you will be starting the point off wrong. In this video we share some thoughts to help you improve your toss.

Register for the Miniseries here: https://wearepickleball.com/pillars. Don't miss this!

These 4 pickleball errors are making you lose more games, and more rallies. They all stem from pressing. Essentially it’s pushing too hard. Hitting shots that you don’t need, attacking when an attack isn’t available, playing a hard ball when a soft one will do.

When you find yourself pressing, you are simply trying to do more than the situation requires. That's causing errors in your pickleball game. Errors that are causing you the rally and potentially the game.

Another example is pressing is trying to hit the ball too low to the net. You think you need to hit the pickleball shot really low, really low, to avoid an error, and by doing so, you hit the net. by the net.

Another pickleball error and an example of pressing is attacking where attacks don't exist. The most common situation is when you think there's a hole in the middle, and you go for the hole in the middle. A lot of times that hole is a phantom hole. It doesn't exist. And if you want to check that out, we did a whole game breakdown on that. https://youtu.be/hiL54qx-g3o

0:00 Introduction to the Pickleball Error - Pressing
0:26 Pickleball Error 1 - Overhitting your attack shots
0:57 Pickleball Error 2 - Hitting too Low Over the Net
1:32 Pickleball Error 3 - Attacking when no attack exists

Focus on getting your pickleball serve deep. Not on the speed of your serve. You can use the depth of your serve to keep the returner deep and set the tone for the point.
